Lastchoice re announcing earnings you said:

..."idcc also had a history of the earnings five minutes before the call. the last two have been the following morning. that must give the analysts a better comfort level to ask questions, knowing they won't step in a pile..."

I also remember on a couple of occasions, when IDCC announced earnings the night before the CC. As I recall, those were usually very good earnings when announced the night before the CC. We shall see for this quarter, whether IDCC announces the night before or about "five minutes before" the CC.
