I think you're thinking backwards. These FRNTQ are the bankrupt new shares.
A company could easily come up with $3 a share price instead of say .10 if the assets of the company were worth a lot more than $3.69 million. I have to think even a bankrupt Frontier could be worth more than that. Plus the perceived high cost of $3 a share might keep others away from bidding.
Usually those that hold a stock without the Q often find their shares worthless. I don't know what happened to those that had this one before the bankruptcy because I just got in (at .05...tried .036 all morning).
