While 18 billion is a nice sum, four plants is small fraction of what we need.
It’s not a serious move toward nuclear power, IMO, but rather a favor for someone in Congress whose constituents stand to benefit. Of course, it does nothing at all to lessen US dependence on foreign energy sources for transportation.
p.s. Did you notice that Pickens dropped his windmill project due to a lack of financing for the transmission lines?
