Dew-- I don't know the best way to reduce carbon emissions. I thought that a carbon tax would be a more direct way. Europe has largely gone the cap and trade way so one would think that there must be something to commend it though I realize it has its critics. I also realize that the key to overall carbon emission reduction is to get China and India to come along and that likely won't happen unless we take the lead. I get your point re water vapor in the atmosphere but I don't think there are good ideas on how to reduce it. I believe it's correct to say that most scientists who have studied global warming are agreed that manmade carbon dioxide is a major cause of global warming and that it needs to be addressed soon before a tipping point is reached. I know some disagree but if there is a reasonable chance that the majority are correct then it would be unconscionable to not do what the best science is urging before it's too late.
