You only have to look back to the last shareholder letter to realize that DKAM has access to the list of shareholders, at least reflective of a certain point in time. Heck, when they sent that letter out I got three different copies sent to me, which results from my having shares in three different accounts. And, I don't believe they were sent to the broker first--the letters came directly from the company (I could be wrong but the return address on the envelopes was from DKAM--I suppose they could have provided these to the brokerages but that seems a stretch). So, if you were a shareholder you would have received those letters--did you? Now, I don't know if they get to see who is trading in and out every second of every trading hour--that would be tough to keep up with.
