Kerry has a lot of support in Hollywood, the tech industries, and on Wall Street. "King dollar' Rubin is backing him as are many at Goldman Sachs.

While I don't think a Kerry victory will have much impact on the imperialist essentials of US foreign policy, it could have a big impact on the dollar. The Rubinites frown on a weak dollar and a Kerry presidency probably would be very bad (at least initially) for gold and all other investments that benefit from a soft dollar.
