>Well, the salt marsh hay has been put down. I left the water basin of the plants clear, but if there is a lot of salt content, then my plants will probably suffer. I will have to check with Volente's tomorrow to see if I bought marsh hay and used the wrong hay category in my prior post. Oh well, at least I didn't use the hay in my containers!

All of the above transpired after I was looking to replace a perennial which didn't survive last winter. I bought a salvia plant to attract honey bees. And the bees were out at Valente's today.

I will keep you posted on the salt marsh hay adventure.

PS There is no more county agent where I live most likely because there are so few farms. I would have to go through the University of Massachusetts Agricultural Department. I might give that a try if it rains tomorrow.
