Had lots of fun yesterday afternoon and half the night. I was out running some errands, was going to get a haircut but there was a bit of a lineup so came home.

Got home to half flooded house. Hot water tank burst, there is a drain beside it, was plugged, Shelley was outside reading and oblivious.

Turned off the water, cleared the drain, sucked up about 20 gallons with my shop vac, then spent the next 6 hours or so taking turns using our steamervac to suck up the wet carpets.

Tank is on main floor, the only floor in this little house. Had I got a haircut, the whole place would have been wet.

Sheesh...waiting for new tank to arrive now.
