Good News and Bad News for GILD

The good news is that HHS released $780M for the ADAP (AIDS Drug Assistance Program) for the FY ending 9/30/09:

Of US patients who take HIV drugs, a sizable proportion receives reimbursement through ADAP, a component of the Ryan White federal-state assistance program.

The bad news for GILD: Obama’s FY2010 budget calls for an increase in Ryan White funding of only 2%, down from the 3% increase in FY2009.
