Maybe people will work for free? (for a short period of time)

One of the problems Chrysler brought up in bankruptcy court is that their line of 2011 or 2012 Jeep will be delayed by 2 years if there isn't a swift process.

With majority of the workers been sent home for at least 60 days with nothing to do, and no extra money to spend, it might just make sense for certain folks to work for free so that if they emerge from bankruptcy they will actually have a quality product to sell. It doesn't do any one any good to get the lights turned back on only to have lost the time/talent and have nothing to sell.

It's a stretch, but desperate times call for desperate measures
