K2, I believe that the greatest threat to the mind-numbing supression of the truth and the rewriting of history is this thing we call the internet. What scares me is that, if the powers that be consider it a threat to their plan for a new society, they will take it away. It is critical to anyone wanting to undertake social engineering to control the flow of information. That is why China is so carefully controlling those of its citizens who have access to the internet.
Of course, with the threat to those who would slant everything to their point of view is the hope that it has already gone too far.
Hope this doesn't sound like some dumb conspiracy theory.
