On Govt, It is my understanding that a large federal department that has been undergoing a huge machine replacement regimen in which all of the machines that they are taking reciept of have TPMs, that the ENTIRE DEPARTMENT (not just an agency) is FORBIDDING the turning on of the TPM facility.

It is simply the case.

It is my understanding that the Department believes that an active TPM interferes with its replication and imaging routines.

I am inclined to think that this need not be the case, but the fact on the ground as I understand it is that this rather large federal department is forcing OFF all TPMs and disabling the ability for any IT or end-user to amend that OFF OVERRIDE.

So yes, perhaps the Govt is lining up, but my understanding is that there is at least one department that has looked at it, their IT folks are aware of the device, have some understanding of what it is, and state clearly that the entire depertmnet requires the device to be OFF on ALL machines at ALL times.

The above content is my opinion.
