No insult intended means that I don't intend to insult by calling Eugene or anyone else a yankee. I know that some thin-skinned people take high offense to that. Personally I don't hold anyone's origins against them. But how do you think a northerner from NJ is perceived by certain segments of the local population in the Appalachian hills of East KY? Not all people are like that and I hope it is the exception to the rule. But I have no control over it. I can go to that area looking like an average redneck and still get looked at sideways by some because I’m an outsider who is not from around those parts.
