I agree with maintaining a contrarian mindset and trading against the emotion of the market, but I strongly believe that this is a very dangerous time to be long. What positive news has come out has been manufactured (mark-to-market, phantom profits, supposed stabilitiy of banking sector, "green shoots", etc). It's bullshit and traders are wising up to it. Once sentiment shifts I expect short sellers to return in full force. It's going to get ugly, really ugly.
