i guess we all have our own take on what "it" is.

it doesn't seem like a purely a disaffected minority anti-obama sentiment to me, which is where the CNN poll used seems to put it...

some even question their right to go make fools of themselves in public.

Most of the pieces i have read seem to make it kind of black and white, i.e. either you are for your home team or you are against it, so it becomes categorized as dem. vs. rep. or lib vs. con, and i am not sure it is that simple.

americans are not used to feeling malaise and discontent as a nation, and seem to be stumbling around figuring out how to express it. anger is one way, but we are not experienced at civil unrest, so i guess it will be fought on cable networks and hopefully at the ballot box, but the trouble is that we are pissed because we never seem to get clean choices there, as they all tend to blend into a soup of corruption and the big question is how the hell do we change it?
