I will give you an "A" for persistence, lol. I actually have enjoyed this exchange since you do not just mindlessly reject Scripture like most here. You have put some thought into it.
"There is no proof that Eve heard directly from God, only that the Snake said "Did not God..." Assuming she did know, she could have been told that by Adam and not directly from God himself. Your basing on what you want to believe and not exploring the possibilities of other options."
I did not intend to imply that God spoke directly to Eve. As you note, that is an unknown. What we do know is that Eve knew of God's command, whether it came through God Himself or the only other possibility, through Adam. She knew of the command, knew that it was God that gave the command, and knew the consequences for disobedience:
Genesis 3:2-3
"The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'"
If she learned of God's command through Adam, she knew that neither she nor Adam ever lied -- lying is a sin, and they were sinless at the time, not even understanding the concept of a lie. The bottom line is that she knew the truth about God's commandment -- nothing else really matters.
"Highest IQ in history? Where in the heck did you come up with that? That sounds totally lame. If his IQ was so high, then he would have built a John Deere tractor and plowed his fields. He was God's gardener for crying out loud."
lol -- you have something against Gardeners?? Next to God, he was the King of the Garden. He was responsible for the Garden, cultivating it to perfection, so he had to know all about all the many various plants and trees in the Garden, including how to tend them. He was given the task of naming all the animals, which in Near Easter culture was a symbol of authority over them. Adam was the King of the known world, so I would not be so quick to denigrate him.
You laugh at the idea that Adam had an High IQ just from the information given, but think about it for a minute. God Himself said that His creation, was "good" and with the addition of Adam and Eve, it became "very good". That is as high a compliment as one can get. God is perfect, and all His creation was originally perfect, including Adam and Eve. Perfect means the highest possible quality in all respects, which would include intellect. They would both have been perfect physical and mental specimens of the human race. Can you name one other individual in human history, with the exception of Jesus, that could make that claim??
God also gave Adam and Eve a perfect environment -- no smog, no pollutants, no disease or sickness. The atmosphere they breathed was perfect. Above them was a canopy of water, protecting them from any harmful rays from the sun or elsewhere. None of the things that surround us which impair us and fry our brain cells as we grow from a baby to an adult and age from there to dotage. So yes, I suspect that they had the two highest IQ levels ever.
By the way, he did not build a John Deere tractor because he did not need one. Like all of God's people, he was fully equipped for the tasks that God gave him, which, I might add, included the command to "have dominion over" (Hebrew "radah", rule over, subjugate) all the earth, including every living plant and creature, and all that implies. That does not sound like a task to assign a to a dummy.
