I can only say that sometimes after years of hindsight you do gain some insight of your own view of our country...I was able to serve in '66'67'68 and 70 in Nam...although the war did not end the way I wish, it was still one of the most meaningful experiences of my life...in basic (boot camp) we were forced into the memorization of endless general orders...to be regurgetated on command...only 1 can I remember today

The first General Order: I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces that guard my country. I am prepared to give my life in its defense.

Once you memorize that it doesn't sink in until your first few moments in combat, that you have sworn that this nation is more important than your life...It is the only General Order I still remember...but I never loved my country more than after serving her... sometimes I think we may be on the wrong course, but I still believe that I am blessed by being born an American..It is easy to be a cynic...and use phrases like American War games etc...

Like the old saying...I don't believe in everything you say, but I wiould defend until the death your right to say it..off the soap box softball...tomorrow is another trading day
