It was likely close, Nam ended and they did away with the draft. I always saw signing up as a lame idea. Perhaps it was my dad threatening with sending us off to military school as punishment. We took this threat seriously around the house, he attended military school and had the yearbooks on the bookshelf. Everything was acceptable/unacceptable according to military standards. Are you ready for inspection?
