Bruce,

I don't like the idea of putting an old drive into an external enclosure, because it's an old drive.

An enclosure will cost, like $30, and a brand new removable / external maybe 2x that, with a warranty and that new disk smell.

I'm into reliability. But that's just me. I've got a stack of hard drives on my desk ...
