What if Samsung decides to buy WCDMA chips from Spreadtrum. Samsung has already bought chips from Infineon. That could be your per unit rate. And the same thing with Nokia. Nokia could decide to buy certain chips with IDCC 3G modem IP inside it. Much like the Apple license agreement. NXP still owns the 3G modem IP that IDCC developed for NXP. Nokia could buy it from NXP who is still a supplier to ST/Ericsson who is one of the suppliers to Nokia. That could be the per unit rate for IDCC.
I am not saying all of Nokia products would have IDCC 3G modem IP inside it but a few of Nokia's products.
