OK, while you're all "LOL" my local prices have gone up $0.27/gallon since Wed evening while the RBOB has gone up $0.22/gallon in the same time.
I filled up at $1.67/gallon on Wed. It's now $1.94/gallon cheapest.
RBOB is $1.38/gallon, up from $1.16/gallon Tuesday.
If you're in Alaska, it may be an entirely different situation. It may be a lower 48 thing, which would mean a change in RBOB affects 96% of the states instead of 100%.
In my area fuel sells for RBOB plus state tax, plus fed tax, plus limited distribution ($0.05-$0.10/gal) and maybe anywhere from a nickel loss to a nickel profit at retail. The price at the pump is directly affected by the RBOB price.
