Here's the shakeout from that .18 increase in RBOB at two local stations in my area.. the Shell station has increased the reg. price from 1.999 to 2.099.......the AM/PM price has droppred from 2.069 to 2.039. In this area, it would appear that the futures change in RBOB certainly does not cause a 1 to 1 casual affect in the price at the retail pump on a ST basis. While it obviously would have an effect over time..... rushing to the fuel facility to fill up the day of an RBOB fut. increase may be of limited benefit. Of course, this cursery attempt at determining tracking made no consideration in change in RBOB since that .18 up day. DAMN, thought I might make some room in my freezer. LOL......Interesting how that $1 premium that built up in diesel/reg. has nearly evaporated in total and in a few isolated locations diesel can now be found at a discount to regular.......isn't that interesting.....diesel consumer boned bigtime by the market over last few years....ya think. Follow the money.........just think how much dough was fleeced off of consumers based upon fuel surcharges(primarily diesel)......it had to have been HUGE LOL
