I've recently started nibbling on REITS for more of a long-term hold rather than playing the pops and drops- I'll find out just how much of the commercial side meltdown is already baked into the PPS soon enough, but, some of these have been hammered down so much I can't stop myself from picking some up at these levels. Staying diversified I am tho- industrial, healthcare, commercial office, etc. I still think that when the market finally sees enough financial transparency and can come to terms with the toxic assets, I could get a nice "pop" across the board here. {Of course I told myself that with the financial sector too and am still waiting for Nirvana...}
