the US Federal Reserve Bank (Fed) is a private entity, even though the US Government may exert some influence over it.2 --i.e., the public institutions of Government cannot require the Fed to render this information, especially when you consider that the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, need only inform Congress on a quarterly basis what his monetary policy shall look like. We would emphasize that he need only inform what his policies will be, not seek instructions or consensus or agreement from Congress or the Executive branch.
