Your geologist is a moron then. No mine has ever produced an amount of gold that comes in at 2 ounces per ton. Never. 2 to 3 grams per ton is considered commercially viable. The richest gold deposit in the history of North America came in at about 7.5 to 8 grams per ton. (Deadwood)
