if you look at the map of mosquito lagoon youll see its 20 miles in either direction of an inlet....the high and low tide difference is barely a foot and most times even less...the tidal surge is mainly do to the wind pushing the water in and out of the lagoon more so than an actual high or low tides....north winds have helped with the low water by pushing it out of the lagoon...now we need a south wind and or rain to raise the levels..
