if one is writing a letter and have ONE opportunity to make your point, you present all the pertinent data.

No, actually you don't. In your first letter you state the essentials. It shouldn't be longer than a page and a half at most. You tell the recipient that you'll be happy to send more material if he or she is interested.

NO WAY is somebody on Obama's staff gonna read the whole thing. Hell, even I didn't.
