ALPHARETTA GA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/14/09 -- Organic Growing Systems, Inc. (OGSI), a subsidiary of Advanced Growing Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: AGWS), announces today that it has appointed Kerry Johnson, PhD, as the Senior Vice President of Science and Technology for OGSI. Dr. Johnson brings an immense level of experience and expertise after spending 24 years with Mississippi State University Extension Service. Dr. Johnson has worked with virtually every clientele group in Mississippi's agricultural and horticultural community. Some of these include livestock producers, timberland owners, farm pond managers, row crop farmers, vegetable growers, sod farm and golf course managers, landscape contractors, and ornamental nursery stock growers.

"For more than twenty years, I have worked with the MS nursery industry, especially in George County, the nursery capital of our state. For the last eight years, my work has been entirely in the horticulture field where I've concentrated on nurseries, turf, trees, vegetable production and home gardens in eleven coastal counties. My contacts, however, are not limited to Mississippi since I have participated in out of state meetings, trade shows and committees in several southern states from Texas to North Carolina and California," stated Dr. Johnson.
