I am very disappointed first of all in how these promises were handled, ie, basically just ignored. It took a question to even get them to mention them.
Perhaps this is a good decision for the company...perhaps not. But IMO it is NOT a good decision for me/shareholders...and I think I'm not the only investor who feels or who has felt this way. As a matter of fact, I would guess there are a number of investors who left b/c of their disregard of their MULTIPLE promises (it was even part of their corporate statement regarding their plans of operation for MANY months).
I have not sold, and will probably hold, but this does not raise my opinion of mgmt's trustworthiness or concern for investors. I bought more at the end of 2000 specifically b/c of the promise of spin-off shares that never materialized. And I can deal with my own "tax consequences"--I didn't ask HRCT to worry about them.
Well...I've said my piece about it...now I'll hold my peace about it.
