bp, if number 1 is right, why would Genzyme let this technology slip through their fingers and be sold to LFB for $15 million? That is the key question, all other issues are secondary.

Secondary issues.

The malaria vaccine, what stage of testing is that in? Does anyone know if it works at all?

It's not as simple as milking a goat, there is a complex filter process and genetic drift.

The assumption is that the industry is working on more efficient methods of producing the needed proteins. That and the industry is working on ehancements to proteins. Otherwise there would be more interest in funding GTC.

As to what exactly the process might be, why no interest in GTC, maybe call up Genzyme and keep asking questions of their scientists, maybe one will be talkative and tell you what they think. Call up others do the same, like Elan.

Otherwise sooner or later the reasons for the neglect of GTC will become obvious. Or maybe GTC will suddely blossom.
