"frogdreaming,"

To the contrary!

The Anne Pressly murder case appears to fit perfectly with the DNAWitness usage scenarios. There is reason to suspect DNAWitness was used in this case. And even if it wasn't, it illustrates just how useful DNAWitness can be, in solving serious crimes, such as these.

DNA was collected from the crime scene, and somehow not defined in the press (perhaps through DNAWitness,) the police were able to locate the suspect. When the suspect's DNA was then tested, it matched the DNA from the crime scene, and also implicated him in another major crime (rape and murder.) The usage case of DNAWitness would have been to provide a description of the suspect, from the DNA at the crime scene, thus increasing the chances that police could locate and apprehend the suspect. It's obvious they didn't locate the suspect from a pre-existing DNA database that had his name attached, or they would have already known it was a hit with the other case (rape and murder,) before doing the test of the third sample of the suspect's DNA (directly from the suspect.) (The first sample was obviously collected as evidence from the previous rape-murder scene, and the second sample, obviously collected from the Anne Pressly murder (and rape?) scene.)
