A slip of the surgeon's knife can be nasty. If that same surgeon, using a properly functioning surgical laser during a procedure, were to ignore the blinking red "stop" light atop the device, woe to the patient. However, given a properly functioning LTC operating system, even a drunken surgeon cannot accidentally burn the patient's tissue. The "smart" system is expressly designed to automatically and instantaneously power down after a specifically optimized RF energy profile, for optimal bonding, is delivered to the subject tissue. No more, no less. It even calculates the heat-sink value of the tissue. The genius of Dr. Paton's LTC lies in his patented feedback circuitry and a proprietary software that continuously monitors and responds to variables. It's a highly sophisticated apparatus and a remarkable achievement from what I can see.
