I once dabbled with the Nirvanna System years ago. In fact I still have the software. I think newbies are now charged like $1000's and I get an update for like $400 US. I get the update reminder just about every month. You are correct about much study. Plug in a winning system 60/40 like you mention, rip off about 4 or 5 decent losing trades in a row, and suddenly you're in serious trouble ever getting back to even. Yes, they see your stop loss sitting there, only to be taken out, followed by the run up you've been waiting for initially. Many of those tech systems just don't function very well anymore. Stop losses are for losers. With + and - 500 point swings a day now, thing of how many stop losses are wiped out daily. I used to download my data(daily closing prices) every night, dialup of course. That was a test in patience in and of itself. I should buy an update, go from version 2.1 to like version 14.0, and skip the 137 updates in between. Ken
