Things are pretty bad when AMD boosters are left debating
base vs peak to decide whether one Nehalem should be
said to have slightly outperformed two Shanghai or slightly
underperformed two Shanghai.

The basic fact is chip for chip Nehalem utterly downright
owns Shanghai to a degree I can't ever remember before
in this industry. Things were bad with C2D vs Barcelona
but they are going to be far, far worse for AMD in the i7
vs Shanghai era. Given the global economic outlook this
is probably end-game for AMD. Buh-bye now Pete.
