I'm am not for sure where you get your information, but I can assure you that the PR was released as all others were:
JR's idea, Redwoods writing skills and then on to the secretary with a note to release out to the wire. All of these were done in that order. No solicitation letter.

Once again, John was just coming to quick, looking for any good word to put out to drive the price up.
