I would find it amazing if the Supreme Court would uphold mandamus given the clear Texas trust law, the judge's denial of delay and COA's denial of mandamus. HIgh Courts usually will not step in unless the incorrectly applied law is clear.

I wonder if the Supreme Court has to even take the case? The US Supreme Court refuses to hear 2/3 of the cases filed. Once they refuse to take the case, game over.

The only hope I can see is that they get a stay while the court reviews the decision. Even if they get it, that maybe gets them a month.

I see PXD stalling, but no real strategy on how to get out of this. Here's how. Get your friends together and write a check for a collective $900 million, then give the trust back its "worthless" property and get lost.
