this last email appears consistent with that one which stated geologists would begin interpretation this week

we should keep in mind that these surveys are really just the first step in a long process
the core sample results are imo much more important

Hi there, no, the press release is accurate. We started a large survey for them and are about 90% complete.

Geologists will be beginning interpretation of the data next week.

I can't speak to why they are silent to you, but the survey is legit. I think they may have misled some shareholders as to the estimated completion date of the survey, but that may have been a genuine mis-understanding on their part.
