Believe it or not, I have spent much of today trying to point out to my kids the dichotomy posed by these Olympic Games... somehow. To justify the beauty and creativity expressed by the Chinese people in light of the brutality of their rulers, at least in the past. It is apparent that they are not being taught this true history in China, but more troubling not even here in the US. It is heartwarming to see the spirit of the Chinese people, but I have to remind my kids that none of those Chinese have ever had the right to vote, or even speak their minds. That the same regime that is putting on this smiling face for the world in the Olympics has murdered and imprisoned and tortured millions upon millions of it's own people, and continues to do so to this day.

The analogy you posed comparing to this board is a stretch... but maybe not... hence I advise folks here to watch there backs.
