completely incorrect. Corporations ONLY register(incorporate) in one state. They need a local (city, or county) business license in each locality in which they have a physical presence (i.e. a storefront.) That is why there is a thing called a trademark, so you can protect your business name across state lines. There is not a SINGLE company doing business that is incorporated in more than one state. You may have several corporations in different states with similar or indeed duplicate names.
