I AM feeling a little sheepish about the conversation with Poet today. I went back and re-read the thread. I can see that his tearing down my extensive post and mis-reading each piece in just enough of an alteration to slant the conversation in his favor is what really ticked me off.
The medical community has gone way too far is all I am saying. Disease is natural...but spending $450,000 keeping one person alive that would have died years ago is the height of vanity and stupidness. It is unnatural.
Triple by-passes on someone over 60 should be paid out of pocket. Insurance is unavailable to a lot of Americans today because of the medical extravagances demanded by these selfish people.
I am also saying that Yates types should be put to death...to propose her nursing skills could be used in her institutionalization is absurd...keep her in chains for 40 years with a camera on her.
This kind of crime and criminal is kept alive by that kind of verdict. Now we will stretch it out for 40 more years.
The criminal mind would respond positively to "Quick & Speedy" trials of 30 days or less and immediate execution of sentences.
Why fear a justice system where you can stave off conviction and sentencing for years and years? When and if they do get free, and lots do...they are inclined to disregard the law with increased disdain and disrespect.

I am not a molly coddler...I am responsible for my actions, words, deeds and others should be held tightly accountable for theirs.
