Responsibilities:
Serves as the IT department head (organization of approximately 25 IT professionals across three sites).
Works with the Management Team to align the company's IT strategies and priorities with the corporate business strategies and functional/departmental requirements.
Establishes and ensures achievement of the departmental annual goals.
Provides guidance in all areas relating to the use of IT technology and application development.
Communicates information to the organization relating to the implementation of new technologies and business systems.
Directs information management budgeting, strategic and tactical planning, business process re-engineering and database system strategy.
Develops and effectively manages operating and capital budgets.
Sets the overall direction for internal business systems.
Responsible for Sarbanes Oxley IT compliance.
Serves as primary corporate spokesperson for information management.
Interfaces with industry on information management and information technology matters.
Manages vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 10+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience leading/managing a multi-site IT department, establishing technical priorities, standards, and procedures, and ensuring systems capacity to meet organizational needs.
Provides direction and/or directly manages IT Operations and Application Development areas.
Carries out departmental supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and practices.
