News for 'GSPI' - (Green Star CEO Editorials Predict Today's World Events with 85% Accuracy)
SAN DIEGO, Jun 27, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Joseph LaStella, President of Green
Star Products, Inc., has written many editorials and participated in radio
interviews in which he has forecasted with 85% accuracy and many years in
advance the energy shortages, food shortages, global warming disasters, and
economic turmoil that exist today, and other events that are yet to come.
For instance, Capitol Hill representatives need to know the following issues:
1) The United States has about 22 billion barrels in proven oil
reserves while consuming 7.6 billion barrels per year. Without
imported petroleum, the U.S. gas gauge will read zero in only
three years!
2) The United States only possesses 2% of the known world oil
reserves. However, the U.S. consumes 25% of the total world's
daily oil production. This imbalance is totally unsustainable for
the future of our country.
3) Building more nuclear plants will not reduce our need for crude
oil or reduce U.S. oil imports. The fact is that 96% of the
electrical energy in the U.S. comes from domestic coal, natural
gas, hydroelectric, wind farms, etc. - not from oil. Long after
we run out of oil, we will still have electricity to run our
industries and homes. Maybe it is time to put your order in for a
plug-in hybrid car.
4) Most people in the U.S. regard Californians as living the "high-
life" and maintaining a "baby boomer" or "hip lifestyle," which
may be partially true. However, the fact is that Californians use
40% less electrical energy per capita than the rest of the U.S.
Through energy conservation, Californians have not increased
their per capita electrical consumption since 1975, while the
rest of the U.S. has increased its per capita electrical
consumption by well over 40%. If the rest of the states were as
efficient as California, the U.S. would not need any additional
power plants for at least the next 25 years.
5) There is no magic bullet or anything on the horizon that will bail
the United States out of this mess. The only immediate PARTIAL
RELIEF is for U.S. citizens themselves to practice immediate
conservation efforts.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
6) Many other factors are contained in Mr. LaStella's historical
editorials available on the JosephLaStella.com website.
Mr. LaStella concluded, "We are Americans and we can win the energy war at home.
Let's follow California's lead."
Use the following special energy and cost saving tips from Joseph LaStella:
-- The average person drives at highway speeds in excess of 65 mph. Reducing
your speed just 5 mph will save you the equivalent of 42 cents per gallon at the
pump.
-- A gas saving energy tip that Joseph LaStella has been advocating for months
is to plan your driving route to take advantage of right turns. For example, it
will require up to 50% more gas to drive your car around the block in the
counterclockwise direction versus driving in the clockwise direction. Clockwise
driving does not require waiting at red lights and saves a substantial amount of
fuel.
-- Stop buying needless junk food and other expensive items at the corner
convenient gas station. A bottle of Desani(TM) water will cost you $1.25 per
bottle at a convenience store. The same bottle will cost you 25 cents (case of
24) at a local grocery store such as Safeway (NYSE: SWY) and Kroger (NYSE: KR).
Plan your shopping, add money to your household budget and eat healthier.
-- Conservation is immediate and requires little or no funds to achieve, i.e.
turn off lights; adjust thermostats; add just one more low energy light bulb to
your house; check the air in your tires every month; use public transportation
once per month; carpool twice per month; use water efficient showerheads in your
home (which also saves energy for hot water); stop driving needlessly; then,
educate your family and neighbors to do the same.
Mr. LaStella's editorials and predictions are posted on the recently launched
website JosephLaStella.com and a book publication will follow in the fall of
2008.
Mr. LaStella intends to publish his book and to establish a non-profit
organization dedicated to the re-publishing of his predictions and consequences
yet to be realized. His website outlines simple to understand, yet not well
known, information that can reshape Capitol Hill's understanding of complex
issues now facing our nation.
