On June 19, 2008, Southern Copper Corporation (“the Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors approved a three-for-one stock split of the Company’s common stock, par value $0.01 per share, to be effected in the form of a two-for-one stock dividend, with holders of record on June 30, 2008 receiving two additional shares of common stock for each share owned.
