Plumear, Things seem funny.
Here we are invested in a company who several in the industry have identified as involved in the IFX chip that is in the new Apple iPhone; even our CEO has intimated same and has stated that the IFX chip win with Apple will bring us incremental if not substantial income.

The Company should be proud of the accomplishment, and the investing public should start to take note of our company as the word gets out. And mostly we here, especially us long timers who remember how rare good news like this is, should be ecstatic.

Instead, we are led to believe by some posters here that in spite of the Apple win, the IFX chip is not only inferior to many other chips out their, and will only mean a small, limited royalty to IDCC if any at all, but that also the Apple phone that it is in, in spite of public statements by Apple's Job, is in fact inferior to the Nokia N85 and other older phones with different chips. All of these conclusions by "experts" who have never even seen the iPhone of course, or even know for sure what chip or configuration is in the iPhone since we are a month away from the phone's availability.

Oh, and I almost forgot... the published/advertised throughput specs of the IFX chip and the IDCC chip are not to be trusted. Everybody knows of course that published specs like these are never attainable in the real world, those numbers on a spec sheet are engineering product considering a "perfect world, controlled environment" type of thing. I believe this to be the case for all manufacturers, but somehow IFX, and by inference IDCC, is singled out as being guilty of "specmanship".

Yep, things seem funny when one has to check the iHub header every once in a while to make sure we are actually on the "IDCC" message board.
