The PR is a cheap trick. They do not have deal yet but they had to do something to keep the SP from tanking after it got out that the AS was increased. This PR should have been held off until the deal was done, that would have been the proper thing to do. As it is it just makes it look like a another pinksheet maneuver to me.
Also final negotiations does not mean anything other then the two parties have talked a couple of times. 300 high traffic convenience stores are not bad but it is not great either. IMHO the timing and the substance makes the company look worse not better.
