The issue for SNY is whether they want to maximize profits or prefer reduced profits and are willing to do so to reduce the effectiveness of rising generic competition.
Wheeler is right that from a classical economic analysis it would be better for SNY to intro a licensed-branded just before a 3rd or 4th competitor come to market.
