I prefer to look at
those with huge volume => liquidity is important
index fund such as QQQQ, DIA, SMH and OIH are good vechicles to use, if you like stocks, AAPL, GOOG, big names with high volumes are preferable, if you are do it right, just need couple of them to concentrate, you will make big bucks, eg
just look at QQQQ May 2008 45.0000 call (QQQES), the trading range is more than 40% in couple days, half of it will be good for me, as long as you have good TA skill and sense, you will make it in this wonderland, welcome abroad :o)
