Get in boat, go to places where lots of prawns hang out, my spot is about 10 minutes from home, put bait in traps, drop traps in about 225 to 275' feet of water, I like to be on slopes, go off and fish, get oysters or read and laze around for couple hours, pull traps, take out prawns, pop the heads off, put them in cooler. When we have our limit of 400,. 200/person, head home.

At home we use mostly plastic yogurt containers, 750g size, put 25-35 prawn tails in each, depending on size of tails, fill with water, put lid on, label with date, put in freezer....they'll last easily a year in the freezer.
No limit to how many you have at home. I like to have at least 600 on hand at all times.
We're allowed 4 traps per license, I put two traps on each rope.
