There's no guessing here. Plant's only legal strategy is to plead to being the world's biggest moron.

In order to assume that he was 'duped', a jury has to assume that for over a year, Plant never talked to anyone on the DHS contract about anything. He could not have talked to the supplier or he would have learned that they weren't preparing $24.5 million worth of Cyberkeys for him. He couldn't have talked to the shipper. He certainly couldn't have talked to the client because they wouldn't have a clue what Plant was talking about. So, for over a year, he had to live in a vacuum. Never checked his bank account. Never called the transfer agent to issue millions of shares becuase why would he need it?

So he was duped. He didn't understand what a 'cease & desist' order was when he was issued one by a process server (or do they use Federal marshalls). So he put it in a drawer and ignored it. Or so the story goes. The C&D order came out months before Plant went public with the info that the contract was phony. Not hours, not days, not even a week or two. Months.

And now his fellow officers and idrectors have quit the company in an attempt to distance themselves from the fiasco.

Exactly what part of the 'I'm the world's biggest dope and didn't know someone was duping me' stategy do you not understand? What part of the 'I haven't done anything that a normal CEO/CFO/Chairman is supposed to do in over a year' claim do you think the jury is going to have a problem with? Do you think they'll have a problem with the 'audit coming soon' claim that the Feds claim was bogus? Or did Ruth fake that too?

I'm curious to see if Ruth had signing authority on the company's checkbook. If she didn't, Plant has to claim forgeries of all the checks. Yet the Feds didn't charge her with that. And why wouldn't she just write out all the checks to herself and wipe out the company? What motive might she have to scam Plant?

Knowles, only you believe this fairy tale. Even Plant's own lawyers bagged out finding the 'moron' defense too absurd to be taken seriously. Plant has to convince at least one juror that he is the biggest moron on planet earth to get a hung jury. I will personally testify in Philadelphia for the prosecution that the Jim Plant I knew was alot of things but not a stupid man. The moron defense is simply not credible.
