>>Q-dot: You, as others earlier, are conflating and inflating JP's comments. I'll assume your motives are pure (that is, trying to point out that a healthy level of skepticism is always a good idea in investing bio), but that doesn't allow you to make up facts.

Assume what you like but be careful about throwing around terms like "doesn't allow you to make up facts". You run the risk of looking like a defensive contortionist.

I made up no facts and I did not claim that Podolski said anything 6 times. I quoted two snippets from other posters in a thread where they agreed on the need for some caution in interpreting the CEOs manner and language, and I did so because I agreed with their caution. Clark started his comment with "You are referring to the same thing I said..." so I think it was fair to make the assumption he agreed with Dew's thesis.

You are trying to make this about what element of the trial he was referring to, or the number of times the phrase was used and, in doing so, I submit that you have lost the overall point. That is, experienced and trustworthy CEOs do not say things like "slam dunk" with regard to ongoing clinical trials. Period.

If you can honestly say that his track record of talking up his drug candidates through successive boom and ultimately bust scenarios does not concern you as an investor you are more risk tolerant than me. Perhaps we can just agree to disagree without claiming anyone is making shit up?
